Emergency Assistance 


If you are a Mercer County resident with a monthly income of 185% of the poverty level or less, you are welcome to receive our free services.

We also accept referrals from several agencies within the greater Trenton community, including:  Mercer County Board of Social Services, Greater Trenton Behavioral Health, Catholic Charities, and DYFS.

Accessing Services:

The first time you come, we ask that you please bring the following items:

  1. Photo ID for yourself
  2. ID for everyone else in your household
  3. Current Proof of Address (PSE&G bill, copy of lease or rent receipt or property tax bill)
  4. Current Proof of Income

Walk- in Hours:

The Emergency Assistance program operates Monday through Friday.

Walk-in hours are from 9:30 am. – 11:30 am., Monday through Friday and 1:30 pm – 3:30 pm, Monday through Thursday.

We see clients each session on a first-come, first-served basis. A session will close early if our maximum capacity is reached.

If you are working and your work schedule does not allow you to come during regular hours, we will try our best to accommodate you. To schedule an appointment, call (609) 392-5159, Ext. 1 during regular business hours.


Home Health Nursing


If you are a Mercer county resident over the age of 60 who has either exhausted or been found  ineligible for Medicaid, you are welcome to receive our free services.

We also accept referrals from doctors’ offices and other agencies.

Accessing Services:

Patients can call for assistance during normal business hours. Friends and family members may also refer individuals.
