Mount Carmel Guild participated in the third annual “Jesus on the Block Party” hosted by Mount Bethel Church of God, an event designed to foster deeper collaboration among community development partners and provide valuable resources for citizens across Mercer County.
The event, which took place earlier this month, brought together a diverse array of organizations and individuals committed to making a positive impact in the community, offering essential services such as food assistance, healthcare, housing support, and educational resources.
By creating a space for open dialogue and shared goals, the gathering aimed to enhance the effectiveness of these organizations and ensure that the community's most pressing needs were engaged.
The Guild was delighted to participate, setting up a branded booth where they interacted with patrons and provided information about the range of services offered, including food and nutrition support, home health nursing, and other forms of emergency assistance.
Daren Miller, the Guild’s Director of External Affairs, emphasized the importance of such events in fostering community solidarity.
"Community based functions like the ‘Jesus on the Block Party’ are vital for building stronger connections among citizens and local organizations," Miller said. "By working together, we can more effectively address the needs of our neighbors and create a more supportive and resilient community. It's about coming together to make sure no one is left behind.”
Mount Carmel Guild remains committed to working alongside community partners to enhance the quality of life for all citizens. Participating in events such as the “Jesus on the Block Party,” enables the Guild to continue demonstrating its dedication to collaboration, service, and doing its part in support of the general well-being of the city of Trenton.
