TRENTON, N.J. (April 3, 2025) - Mount Carmel Guild, a Trenton-based nonprofit social services agency, today announced the appointment of Daren Miller as its new executive director.

Let’s be honest: April is a bit of a drama queen and though this is the March edition of GAZETTE, we had to take a moment to reflect on her audacity. She sneaks in with springtime flirtation - daffodils, cherry blossoms, birdsong and then, right on cue, slams you with a tax deadline. And just when you think you’ve finally organized those receipts from 2023, here comes the IRS is calling.

"Everyone deserves care.” That is the simple and poignant message that appears on the website of Mount Carmel Guild in Trenton and drives the mission of the diocesan-based social service agency.

Dear Friends in Faith and Service, Mount Carmel Guild of Trenton is calling on our brothers and sisters across the Diocese of Trenton, Mission Members, individual donors, and corporate partners to help us restock our Open-Choice Food Pantry. Serving some of the most vulnerable individuals and families in our city, including the unhoused and working poor, our pantry offers dignity through choice, allowing neighbors in need to select the items most useful to them.
